I will practice dry firing many times to save money on ammo... i can buy 45 cal. ammo online for about 20 bucks for a 50 round FMJ wolf ammo. also save money by finding a a deserted area in the desert to practice shooting.

It's my pet hate people not knowing those simple (or similar) rules. When we were out duck shooting one day, my friend was going for his first time. He never had the shotgun broken down, he also had it loaded. Never had the safety on. NOTHING.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is "dry firing"? I'm from the UK and as you probably know, the recreational use of fire arms is EXTREMELY limited so I don't know much about it all.

I'd like to know as much as possible, it'll be useful for the inevitable zombie invasion *seriousface*

Dry firing is when you practice with a gun that has no bullets in it or has dummy bullets. You can practice handling, aiming and shooting except it goes click instead of boom. If you come to the US, there are lots of classes you can take which are about 4 hours long and after class you go shooting. I took my son when he was 17 but there were kids as young as 8 years old. Britain is almost impossible to own a gun but I will tell you when you do it gives you a tremendous sense of self-reliance.
